Just ask yourself...

What would happen if one day you decided to follow your heart?

Creating beauty is the expression of my “true self”; it is the place where fear is not allowed to speak.

Occasionally I will surprise myself with a thought that inspires and motivates my creativity. Although all of us fight with fear in one form or another, the fear in which I speak of is the paralyzing self doubt that we have allowed to overtake our authentic self.
Rarely a day goes by that a women does not come in my little shop and express fear of "the blank wall" or the empty room. Interesting enough, all of the women express the same statement, "I am not creative".
If creating beauty is an expression of our true self, could we all be great artists who have just forgotten who we are?

Earth laughs with flowers

One of my “feel good” rituals is to share quotes that I find unique and insightful. My little shop serves as a class room for my “personal therapy”. Every little wall and corner in my shop utters little words that enlighten, encourage, and teach, that the important "things" in life are not "things".

This quote made me stop and reflect, “what was Emerson thinking when he jotted down these words in his journal?”. I imagine Emerson may have penned these words as he came across a meadow of wildflowers. Perhaps the meadow was painted with all his favorite colors, a masterpiece of art that expressed delight.

Or…maybe Emerson see’s the wildflowers, as unqiue personalities, each bloom proud to be exactly as it was created, not conforming to the stronger or more vibrant. The blending of these colorful unique personalities creates a laughter of sorts... a symphony of laughter, each bloom laughing with it’s own voice as to create a perfect earthly harmony.
